1. A Rainbow Keychain

I personally love being loud about my queerness (I do thankful have that privilege as a white, cis-het passing person living in a more accepting city). Any reminder that I am gay makes my day better in a small but important way. Grabbing my keys before work and seeing a rainbow on my keychain is the best way to start my day.

One of my favorite gifts on this list is A Quick and Easy Guide to They/Them Pronouns. I love this book so much I have purchased it multiple times. This book is great because it is a great tool for that person and anyone they love. This book is a quick illustrated read that gives a comprehensive overview of gender neutral pronouns, existing outside the binary, and how to be a better ally in a world where workplaces and schools are becoming more diverse.

3. A Binder (or a Gift Card for One)

I support gc2b binders because they are LGBTQ+ owned, well regarded, and they can be made with custom sizes which can be very important when shopping for binders. Buying a binder can sometimes be an emotional process, and so I often recommend looking at prices and purchasing a gift card for your loved one!

4. Gorgeous Earrings

Ever heard of flower crowns? Well, how about flower earrings? These gorgeous Daisy Earrings are works of art! We love LGBTQ+ artists. And we love it even more when we can wear their creations. If you have a friend that likes nifty and original pieces of jewelry, definitely head to Theydie’s Things!

5. Help Them Stay Caffeinated

There is nothing I love more than coffee… except drinking said coffee from a mug that screams “I am gay!!” first thing in the morning. This mug not only does that, but also includes cats, my other favorite thing. (If you couldn’t tell, I do have a lot of favorite things).

6. Sapphic Artwork

I love Sleeping Beauty but there is definitely a lack of LGBTQ+ representation when it comes to Disney. What if Aurora fell in love with Mulan? That is exactly what this piece of art brings to mind for me. Any Sapphic would be glad to have this hanging in their home.

7. Binary Breaking Candles

That sounds like a large ask from candles, but Boy Smells candles were created by partners Matthew Herman and David Kien wanted to make self care a loving daily ritual rather than a gendered construct. They continue to craft wonderful scents, and are coming out with more products, like a fashion line, to break the binary while being eco-friendly and fabulous.
At the end of the day, you can get your LGBTQ+ loved one any gift you feel suits them! There is a special thought that goes into getting a gift made by the LGBTQ+ community for someone within the community. Putting money into the pockets of minorities only lifts us all up.
