Maggie Bowyer is a poet from Greensboro, North Carolina. Maggie has been writing for decades and they have performed across the nation. Their work has been published by Bourgeon, Capsule Stories, Detour Ahead, The Vital Spark, and more.

In 2020, Maggie self-published their first collection of poetry, The Whole Story. Their second collection of poetry, When I Bleed: Poems About Endometriosis, has spread like wildfire and is now available online at every major retailer. Maggie has been amazed by your love and support.

Maggie is far more than a poet. They love helping others, gardening, caring for their three cats, and spending time in the kitchen. Maggie has Endometriosis, Fibromyalgia, c-PTSD, Adenomyosis, and several other chronic illnesses. They have a wonderful and supportive family, cherish their friends, and can usually be found cuddled up with animals, a heating pad, and a fuzzy blanket.

Maggie’s poetry focuses on trauma, family, Endometriosis and chronic pain, relationships, friendships, grief, and more. They truly hope you enjoy reading their story, and that you find some of your own journey between the lines.
