The Whole Story is an attempt to capture trauma and the changes in our thought patterns as a result. After years of complex trauma and feeling as though I was drowning in unrelenting crises I found myself in an extremely abusive relationship. Eventually, I pulled myself out of that space – through lots of therapy – and began writing again. I began reading and falling in love. I was finding happiness. Even so, the intrusion of trauma was still interrupting my life. To gain control of this story, my life, and my past, I poured my soul into these words. Now, I am letting go of these words to exemplify just how tumultuous trauma and healing can be. Most of all, I want to show you how worthy you are, and that you deserve to care for and love yourself. We all do.
